Welcome to Rawbooster Photography

Hey, my name is Vilmos and Rawbooster is my photographic showcase site.
I live near Budapest in Hungary, and I am a passionate photographer, active in many genres.
I’ve had a several decades long relationship with photography, partly in various business roles and partly as a person loving images and making photographs himself.
Here I’d like to present my portfolio to the world.

In case you wonder what the title of this site means, the background is this:
“Boost” was the name of an adjustment slider of the RAW Fine Tuning brick in Aperture, a long discontinued software by Apple, somewhat similar to Capture One or Lightroom. Today this slider lives on in the RAW POWER app, developed for the Mac by Gentlemen Coders - the people who originally developed Aperture.
Obviously, “I shoot RAW”, but that statement has become like the trademark of another person, and I also realize that nobody really cares whether I shoot RAW, JPG, film or whatever else… Still, I like the expression “rawbooster”, which refers to my most preferred way of shooting and editing photographs — hence the name I’ve given to this site.
At the end, of course, there is only one thing that matters: the images… so please, browse, as your time allows.
